Particularly useful for serving narrow landings, areas with a large footfall and retail environments where space is at a premium. Centre opening doors negate the need to choose which side the landing door should be hinged on. Although there are two doors rather than one, each door is only half as long as a single swing door and therefore occupies only half the space when open. Centre opening doors cannot be fire rated and are supplied with a PDO (powered door operator) so will open automatically when the desired landing is reached.
