Understanding Platform Lifts Number of Stops
As Platform Lifts can sometimes serve individual floors and split levels combined, the industry tends to refer to the number of stops as opposed to the number of floors. The number of stops always includes the lowermost level served. As an example, if the lift were to serve basement, lower ground floor, Ground floor and first floor then this would be referred to as a 4 stop lift.
